Description: In this article, we will discuss a detailed stepwise method of how block and/or unblock a wireless client on Ubiquiti Unifi Controller. Here we will discuss the blocking and unblocking a client on different versions.
Introduction
If you are using Ubiquiti UniFi wireless network devices, there may be situations where you need to block a wireless client connected to your network. UniFi supports various authentication methods for clients, such as RADIUS authentication or voucher-based login through the UniFi guest portal. However, sometimes a client may unknowingly connect with a device that is infected with malicious files or applications. Such devices can pose a threat to the network, making it necessary to block them immediately. Once the client’s device has been cleaned and secured, you can unblock it to allow reconnection to the wireless network.
Step1: Login
Login to the Unifi controller. Here the controller is running on version 10.0.162. You could upgrade the firmware of the Unifi controller. Refer to the article to know the steps of How to upgrade the firmware of Unifi controller.
